These workshops celebrate the cultural diversity of Cleveland through the visual arts. The first 5 weeks, participants will learn about the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition and create unique costumes or life-size puppets. The next two weeks will be devoted to decorating sugar skulls with intricate patterns with icing. During the final three weeks of the fall session, participants will learn about Dwali, one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, and create clay lanterns that symbolize the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
